Saudade

Mein Geliebter... hier bin ich und liebe dich
heute ist es genau eine Woche her
da wanderten wir gemeinsam über die Klippen
die Möwen über uns

und du sagtest mir heute morgen
dass auch du gestern über die Klippen bei dir gewandert seist

was ist saudade mein Geliebter?
es ist ein sehr spezielles Wort und portugiesischen Ursprungs
saudade ist ein universelles Gefühl und hat mit Liebe zu tun...


es entsteht wenn zwei Menschen sich lieben
aber wenn sie nicht zusammen sind so wie wir gerade
saudade entsteht wenn wir an einen Menschen denken den wir lieben

wir sind glücklich dass wir dies fühlen
aber während wir an den Geliebten denken und nicht in Reichweite der geliebten Person sind...

es stimmt uns traurig und lässt das Herz zerreissen

der Schmerz und diese gemischten Gefühle nennt man saudade...


saudade is a unique Portuguese word
that has no immediate translation in English.

Saudade describes a deep emotional state
of nostalgic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves.

It often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing will never return.

It's related to the feelings of longing, yearning.
A stronger form of saudade may be felt
towards people and things whose whereabouts are unknown,
such as a lost lover, or a family member who has gone missing.

Saudade was once described
as "the love that remains" after someone is gone.

Saudade is the recollection of feelings, experiences,
places or events that once brought excitement,
pleasure, well-being,
which now triggers the senses and makes one live again.

It can be described as an emptiness,
like someone (e.g., one's children, parents,

things one used to do in childhood,
or other activities performed in the past) should be there in a particular moment is missing,
and the individual feels this absence.

In Portuguese, 'tenho saudade tuas',
translates as 'I have saudade of you' meaning 'I miss you',
but carries a much stronger tone.
In fact, one can have 'saudade' of someone whom one is with,
but have some feeling of loss towards the past or the future.

Die Portugiesen sind seit Generationen

that I can use this deep feelings

the word saudade have to do with the past of the Portuguese people
when the fishers went with there small boats to the sea...
sometimes they didn't come back and this was and still is here very sad

when the sailors went to new coninents
discovering new lands and sometime didn't come back home...

but the word saudade came to Brazil and Brazilians too use this word
Brazilians love to use this word... something nostalgic...
an inexplicable lack

My lover... you see... it is a powerful strong emotion
and it depends on myself how I use this emotion

how I will use this emotion... if there is no more lack?
if there is fullfilling love in myself?
if I love myself?

I use this word about myself...
I have saudade to source
I have saudade to my Inner Being
I am deeply in love with myself... the SELF

today I will end my love letter to you
with one of the most famous poets of Portugal
in his poem he write about the salt of the sea
this means the tears of Portugal...
but also Fernando Pessoa write in his poem
about the sea who is mirroring the sky
